09 - Norfolk Beef Expo, NECC Ag Complex, 9 am, selection of championship at 5 pm

11 - ‘The Allied Invasion of Japan’ by Jack Campbell, Norfolk Public Library, 6:30 pm, Library Lecture Series

13 - Opening Reception for New Paintings by James Bockelman, 6-8 pm , Norfolk Arts Center

13 - November 1- New Paintings by James Bockelman, and Two- & Three- Dimensional Works, Norfolk Arts Center

14 - 15- PATCH Health Fair, Cox Activity Center at NECC, doors open at 7 am

15 - Tilden’s Legion’s 11th Annual Rib Fest, judging is at 4 pm, serve until 5 pm. Watch the game outside on a big TV.

16 - 2nd Annual Folk & Forks presents UNL’s premier a cappella group ‘The Bathtub Dogs’, 3 pm at St. John’s Lutheran Church, followed by a silent auction with pie & ice cream. 402.371.1985.

21 - 23- Fall Craft Show, Sunset Plaza Mall

21 - Oktoberfest, 5:30 pm is tapping of keg, music & fun, street dance www.NorfolkOktoberfest.com

22 - Norfolk Lion’s Club Parade at 10:00 am;

22 - Riverpoint Arts Festival 11:00 - 4:00 pm at Johnson Park with food vendors, local artist sales, kid zone, music with live performances;

22 - Oktoberfest 2 pm with tapping of the keg, music & fun, street dance

26 - 9th Annual American Heart Association’s ‘Go Red for Women’, DeVent Center 27-28- Michael Walker, Baileys, 6 pm until close

     - Jim Casey, every Wednesday night at J’s Steakhouse, 6:30 pm to 10 pm
