Inspired by the original Oktoberfest of 1810 in Bavaria, our festival honors the season’s bounty and our region’s cultural roots. Stroll through the aroma of sizzling bratwursts, savor hearty German dishes, and raise a stein in the beer garden. Dance to polka classics and sing along with live bands that keep the celebration going well into the evening.

This year’s festivities also bring Nebraska favorites into the mix—like the Husker Tailgate, Cornhole tournaments for all ages, and family entertainment that will keep kids smiling all weekend. Kick off the fun with the Lion’s Club Parade, then stay for the laughter, games, and community camaraderie that make this event one of Norfolk’s most beloved traditions.
