Fall Energy Awareness Seminar - How Can You Save $

 

 You're invited to the Norfolk Area Chamber of Commerce Green Council's first ever Fall Energy Awareness Seminar.

3:00-6:00 pm at the Lifelong Learning Center

 

During this free event you will hear from key presenters who will help you learn how to save energy in both your business and home.
 
USDA Rural Development: (3:00-3:30 pm)

USDA will be promoting and explaining the 9007 Rural Energy For America Program for USDA Rural Development.  REAP is designed to increase energy efficiencies and stimulate the development of renewable energy systems in rural America.  The program can provide 25% grant funding to Agricultural Producers and Rural Small Businesses to assist them.  We also refer businesses to NPPD to get their energy audit and then that audit information is used to justify the eligibility and scoring for our grant.Examples might include: Replace lighting or refrigeration systems in commercial buildings; install HVAC equipment retrofitting;replacement of inefficient windows and doors and adding insulation. Renewable energy technologies also apply.

 

Black Hills Energy: (3:30-4:00 pm)

Black Hills Energy promotes the "Efficient Use of Energy" to their industrial, commercial and residential customers.  Black Hills Energy will perform "walk through" audits and recommend steps to improve energy efficiency for commercial and industrial customers.  Black Hills Energy will provide gas usage analysis and energy cost comparisons to help customers make wise decisions.

 

Nebraska Public Power District: (4:00-4:30 pm)

ebraska Public Power District's Energy Efficiency Team has members located throughout the state that provide valuable services for the Residential, Commercial, Industrial, & Agricultural sectors. For our Residential customers we can provide energy analysis, heating/cooling comparisons, efficient building envelope practices, and more. For our Commercial and Industrial customers we can provide energy analysis, power quality, domestic/process water, and motor efficiency evaluations, lighting analysis, and more. We also provide recommendations and energy analysis for the Agricultural sectors. Additional to the valuable services provided, NPPD has also launched our EnergyWise programs which provide opportunities for our customers to save energy, money, and help the environment.

 

Progressive Property Inspections: (4:30-5:00 pm)
