Adopt a Classroom - Workforce Taskforce Meeting

Adopt a Classroom Partners,
 
We want to remind you of the meeting on January 26 and encourage you to join your partner in this challenge from the Youth Philathropy Contest:

Eight projects will be selected; each winner will receive $1,000 to implement their idea (with the help of mentor(s)) as well as recognition and promotion for caring about their community!

The meeting is scheduled for January 26 at 4pm to visit about successes, challenges, and to provide support and encouragement for the 2012 Spring Semester.  We will also have additional information and resources for the Youth Contest!

We’ve heard great reports from businesses and classrooms.  One group has adopted an entire school and has served with as many as 30 volunteers; with 10 volunteers serving on a regular weekly basis.  You may have also noticed occasional Adopt a Classroom highlights in the Norfolk Daily News.
 
With all the good news and reports, we do have a few classrooms who did not receive a partner match.  If you know of any businesses or organizations who would partner well with an area classroom, please let us know!
