2012 State Chamber Fall Legislative Forum - Mon, Oct 1 - 11:30am - Please RSVP!
There will be several issues facing state lawmakers in the next session of the Nebraska Legislature. Tax policy, roads funding, labor law, the budget and other topics will consume hours of debate at the State Capitol.
Now is a good time to review the issues that impact the business community. It is also important to let your state senator know your position on the challenges facing your operation. Invite him or her to tour your business, meet your employees, and gain a better understanding of the economic impact your company has in your community.
To help our members garner a better understanding of recent legislation and Nebraska's economic climate, the Norfolk Area Chamber of Commerce — in coordination with the Nebraska State Chamber of Commerce — will be hosting our annual Legislative Forum on October 1st. This forum will provide a great opportunity for employers and their employees to get a firsthand look at the legislative process, learn the issues, and meet their elected representatives. Many key state legislature seats will be highlighted.
Key elements of the Forging Nebraska’s Future 2012 Progress Report will be addressed at the fall forum.
The Norfolk Area Chamber and the Nebraska State Chamber are counting on your participation to help us keep Nebraska’s business climate strong! Registration Deadline is Friday, September 28th. Contact Christian Ohl at the Norfolk Area Chamber of Commerce to register via phone 402-371-4862 or email cohl@norfolkareachamber.com.
