Katie Frisch is an expert in fiber art, wet felting, papermaking, bookmaking, and silk screening. Her current work uses a process called 'nuno felting' in which fabric is created by shrinking wool fibers around one or more layers of cloth. This exhibit displays Katie's 366 day journey of making one nunu-felted piece each day for an entire year. This is in the Main Gallery. Linda Stephen creates 'origami bas relief' landscapes that are an extension of traditional origami- the Japanese art of paper folding. Her inspiration is influenced by the Japanese textile arts of 'origami' (paper folding), 'oshi-e' (paintings with paper). Linda's origami art celebrates both the festive and quiet moments in our lives. This exhibit is in the Atrium Gallery This exhibit is always free and open to the public.
